Keep it Real Thru Great Expectations
It’s a given I’m not a spineless eligible dude, lethargically occupied by watching junk tv without a date like a spoil sport. I’d bet you probably never pegged me to write a talk much about great dating and relationships. That’s just me for ya.
Helplessness is an avoidable quality and entirely missing from my man programming (man-gramming?). However, Winter of 09 was an exception, I definitely needed to squelch a 3-year cohabitation which meant a lot for us but truly carried on to nowhere. Therefore one might go on record saying its been a while since I dated someone new. I don’t have the great expectations Denver I used to enjoy.
Living free and single isn’t bad. This much is certain, I can’t lounge about, undisturbed, devowering Two and a Half Men episodes off the torrents. The biggest factor behind this case of temporary dating loneliness? My coworkers are stiffs, and most ladies I meet at work are taken.
My go-getting golf buddy, Andrew, who has never had dating loneliness, told me he’s currently somewhere he can relate. He signed up for Great Expectations Denver. Not usually my thing, but I enjoy getting to know sophisticated singles who meet my values. Surprise, I put myself on a plan and became a member.
Be honest, ya can’t feel down by not having plans if you haven’t called anyone. Just like my mentor and football coach Chris Jennings told me between war stories, “You’ll never win a race you don’t run, Jeff.”
The man didn’t know my name. However, the old man was truly a wise sould in a round about way. He meant well to everyone. The fun company offering Dallas Singles events that I attend might’ve done a number on his mind.
At great expectations singles events I talked to some insightful and appealing women that catch my expectations. I actually had a carefree night with dozens of indisputably remarkable men and women. I ducked out of the mixer a little early with an exchange of digits, in addition to the fact that I developed some social networking connections for my career. Very cool.
Put yourself in the play. Can’t complain if you don’t try. Listen to me and at least have great expectations for your dating life.
Sincerely,
Caleb
