Naveen Jain is CEO at Intelius, Inc, a company that delivers information for intelligent decisions to consumers, which he co-founded in January 2003 shortly after he gracefully exited InfoSpace. Prior to InfoSpace, he served as senior executive at Microsoft Corporation from June of 1989 to March of 1996. Jain still holds patent rights for Windows NT and the Microsoft online service called Microsoft Network (MSN).
Services provided by Intellius include the award-winning IDWatch, (identity theft protection), criminal checks, background checks, people search, identity verification, reverse phone search, employee monitoring services, pre-employment screening, and tenant screening.
Jain believes that the fusion of the Internet and technology will increasingly continue to have a global effect in the delivery of critical information to individuals and businesses.
Coming from a densely populated, hunger-stricken state in India called Uttar Pradesh, Jain’s dedication to philanthropy has benefitted several nonprofit organizations. He is actively involved in causes that focus specifically on the children’s education, safety, and basic needs by way of organizations like CRY India, Children’s Hospital, and United Way. Jain also offers a scholarship program for computer science and engineering students of the University of Washington.
